Tamarack, Minnesota, site of proposed Talon sulfide mine

The proposed Talon sulfide mine would be constructed directly beneath the Minnesota city of Tamarack, about 50 miles west of Duluth. It would also extend well beyond the city's boundaries to the north and south, encompassing two different watersheds, the Big Sandy Lake watershed to the west and north, and the Kettle River watershed to the east and south. The Kettle Rive eventually empties into the St Croix River.
